Does it seem that time is racing faster than ever?
Are you feeling overwhelmed with commitments?
Do you say “yes” to something, and then find you have to say “no”?
Are you flooded with very appealing offers, but you can’t add one more program to your schedule?
Whew! Kinda makes you feel crazy, doesn’t it?
Time out! Relax. Stop!
Now ask yourself, where are YOU in the middle of all of this?
If your answer is peaceful and authentic and good with all of the chaos, go ahead and stop reading. Maybe next week’s article is for you.
For everyone else still here, take a very deep breath and let go of any negative internal chatter that there’s something wrong with you.
This is time to get completely calm and centred. Just like being in the eye of the hurricane is the calmest spot, when it feels as though everything calls on you to rush, rush, rush, I say STOP!
It’s time to look inside and be sure you feel really connected to your most authentic self. If you don’t, you’ll find yourself trying to be and do what other experts tell you is necessary. And, isn’t that exactly what happened growing up when you were told who you were just wasn’t right?
That’s what’s been going on in my life. I took a “Day out of Time” (Almine) a couple of weeks ago and have been deliberately slow ever since. At least as much as I could, given that I can be pretty driven.
I am doing a lot of introspection to be certain I am staying true to my life purpose in my business and life. Am I being as heart-centred as I want to be, or am I falling prey to world views that there’s not enough and I have to get there first, or I will lose out?
Then I go back to what I teach – this is an abundant universe. How could there be scarcity if I don’t get somewhere first?
So, that can’t be true, what’s next?
Someone else is doing a better job than I am? According to whom?
With me, it’s my inner critic who still maintains only perfection is good enough. And again I inquire, “Who is the ultimate authority on perfection?” I’d say that’s God, and I believe God thinks I am perfect no matter what. And so are you.
So, someone else doing it better can’t be true either. And so it goes.
I could go on with lots more examples, but I think you can get a sense of this process.
I invite you to try it on this week.
STOP. DROP inside. And ASK relevant questions. (We had a fire drill where I live this weekend. LOL)
- Am I connected to my PURPOSE?
- Am I committed to my TRUTH?
- Am I living life the way I DESIRE?
I invite you to comment below or on Facebook and I look forward to reading what comes up for you.
Enjoy a calm week.
Warmest, Rosemary
